Down to Melbourne Town

I went for a walk today and took a wrong turn. But it was a good thing, because I discovered Rathdowne Village, on Rathdowne Street (going north of Princes Street) in North Carlton. What up!


It's got a lot of cute little shops; there's a book store called "Alice's Books" (after Alice in Wonderland), a bunch of neat cafés, and a stationary/paper goods store called Belki. I plan on going back to that one especially, because it had a lot of really nice and fairly-priced giftable things.
